In 2014, we celebrate Artemisia spp.Herb of the Year™2014 

The International Herb Association proudly presents a preview of our Herb of the Year™ Publication.The International Herb Association has chosen the genus Artemisia to highlight in its latest Herb of the Year™. This diverse herb family contains many strikingly different plants, from the highly decorative Artemisia ludoviciana Silver King to the delicious and tender French tarragon (Artemisia dracunculusSativa). Artemisia has a long history, prominent in folklore, its virtues used in numerous ways: to protect and heal, create tasty beverages and foods, decorate the home and work its magical properties. Brimming with facts on every facet of this plant from fragrance and flavor, botany and cultivation, lore and history, to favorites, fun facts, poetry, crafts, medicinal information, not to mention recipes for the kitchen, bath and boudoir, and the apothecary! This compilation is written by more than 15 contributors-experts, members, as well as friends of IHA-and contains over 20 articles, in addition to photographs and illustrations from a dozen artists, all inspired by Artemisia; Herb of the Year™ 2014.
